Graphic that reads: "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness."

{Video} Bible Bites with Liz: His Mercies are New Every Morning

In this short video I’ll share with you a little about my daily Bible study process and give you some background on the prophet Jeremiah and what was happening as he wrote the Book of Lamentations.

Despite his difficult circumstances, the prophet Jeremiah remained faithful to the Lord and encouraged himself and us, thousands of years later, to remember that the Lord’s mercies are new every morning.

Helpful Resource: Blue Letter Bible

To dig deeper into these verses and the rest of the Bible, check out one of my favorite online Bible study tools, Blue Letter Bible. On their website you can look up verses, read different translations and access commentaries from Bible teachers and scholars.

I highly recommend reading the commentaries as you study God’s Word to help you have a fuller understanding of the text.

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits."
